Microsoft Terminal ServicesTM and Citrix® server are solutions that allow a user to remotely login to their own network, just as though they were sitting at their desk, even with the ability to print to their local printer, but without the requirement of carying their computer with them. The Microsoft solution is flexible in that it can either require a client to be loaded on the system (which is built-in to Windows XP) that initiates the terminal session, or it can be web-based so no client is required at all.
